Ahh! Seems like I gained weight! …Thoughts running in her mind while she looked at her reflection in the mirror…
Though Kala doesn’t care much about her appearance, the thought of people judging irks her some times…
Shubham woke up and saw her….his eyes glued on her…Nothing but Her!
He stared at her reflection with a smile… “Her beauty seems to grow with her..!” he thought…

Love beyond boundaries and the physical appearance that’s the true love and that’s heart-warming read
Thanks you Dr. Bushra 🙂 Means a lot to me .
Love is always beautiful and it’s beyond appearances. Should be.
Indeed it is! Thank you for stopping by Sheethal 🙂
Wow that was quite something – creative writing using these sculptures. How does micro blogging Mondays work? Does someone give a prompt?
That is my click Aks. There is no prompt as such, write anything mostly many try to keep it personal. I used one of my clicks i captured at konark temple for this write up, felt like it would fit well with the scenario i worked on. I am glad you liked it Aks and ur appreciation means a lot to me. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Talk about perspectives! We are our own worst critics, while people we love see much more than our physical appearance. Very crisply put Keerthi.
Well said its absolutely true! Thank you for stopping by and appreciating my work 🙂
Love is in the air… Short and sweet tale of love… Nice one Keerthi… Loved reading it ?
Thank you Shamik 🙂

Perspective matters. Its the lens that you look through that makes all the difference. Good micro story.

beauty is in the eye of a beholder… Love is not weight biased :p :p
Yes Indeed! Thanks a lot for stopping by 🙂
We are the worst critiques of ourselves!!! We should learn to love ourselves enough first!
Loved the way in which you made this idol spell out such a wonderful tale!

I am glad you liked it! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Indeed, appearances are in our heads. The ones who really know us carry only love for us in their hearts. This thought came out in such a subtle way in your story that it’s nothing less than the image you used to bring it all together. It does not matter what Kala saw in the mirror, what Shubham saw was a beautiful woman carved in an image of a mesmerising stone sculpture.
The picture really does the magic!
Thank you for such lovely comment Mansi 🙂 It motivates me to write when ever i get to read such kind words from reader. It really means a lot. Thank you once again for stopping by 🙂
Someone eons ago said, “Beauty lies in the beholders eyes”. You have redefined it with a new phrase, “Her Beauty grows with time” . Kudos to you gurl!
Aww means a lot anupriya. Thanks a lot for ur kind words 🙂
Its all in the perspective for they say beauty lies in the eye of the beholder!! Well written Keerthi
