When I saw today’s prompt at writetribe, thought I would write about the tool which I use almost all day which is “Photoshop”. Even penned down a few highlights about how to create an action, how to perform high-end skin smoothing, how to improve the resolution of a photo, etc.  I am a newbie to blogging and I wanted to be perfect at what I write so spent a couple of hours thinking about best Photoshop tricks I use regularly in my editing work.

I am into photography and generally spend a lot of time on editing. So, unfortunately it’s required for me to sit in a particular place for long hours. After spending a couple of hours on preparing a final note of the highlights and when I was about to elaborate on them, I heard my mom saying something, but I just ignored as my concentration was on writing a perfect piece on the topic I chose.

Then, after a few minutes the intensity in my mom’s voice increased and this time she made it clear that I was listening to her. She started yelling at me saying “You spend all day sitting in front of that stupid laptop of yours, you never take care of yourself…you don’t eat on time…you never listen to me, etc.” It was then I realized that, I was actually hungry but postponing on my lunch because something else was running on my mind.

I was ruining my health by doing so! After deciding not to waste any more of my time worrying about it, I immediately tried to figure out solutions for my problem. Prime question here was, what should I do so that my health is not compromised and at the same time my work is also not disturbed? After some research, I found this app called “Lose It”, which is basically a health and fitness app, I read a few testimonials about it before installing the app on my phone and started exploring.

It has many features like calorie count, fat%, carbs%, fiber%, protein% and other nutrient info on many food items. To my surprise it has a good database on south Indian variants of food as well. And the most loved features in it is the reminder option it has. Once turned on, it reminds you to log your meal and even keep a track of your water intake, physical activity, sleep, etc. One can also earn badges and win extra calories to consume for that day if you completed a task consisting of physical activities and eventually burn calories. How interesting and motivating is that! There are many more options as such. I recommend this app to anyone who is looking for a good health and fitness app to guide you. Give it a sincere try!

Also, Today I made a promise to myself that no matter what, I am going to use it get to know more about healthy eating habits, fitness regime and try to become a healthy person.

P.S.: It’s not a sponsored post. Just my views on something which I thought can help others.

I am taking part in The Write Tribe Festival of Words #6 and this is my post for Day 2 prompt ‘Share about a resource you have or use.’
